Why do you need an Accountant?
Depend on the nature of your business, a raft of reports will need to be need to be generated. Amongst these, the most important are you annual accounts, comprised usually of a Balance sheet, an Income statement, a Statement of retained earnings and a Statement of cash flows.
What will your accountant do?
Over the course of the accounting year you accountant will compile your bank statements, invoices and receipts to construct your annual accounts. He will apply his knowledge and experience to ensure accurate and then advise the accounts to HMRC.
What should your accountant charge?
In the main accountants will charge on an hourly basis as part of your on-going relationship with them.
